About us
About the Organisation
The Free ICT Europe Foundation is a non-profit organisation registered in the Netherlands. We rely on donations and active support to fund our campaigns and day-to-day operations. Beyond financial contributions, we invite industry stakeholders to share knowledge, exchange insights, and participate in our committees. Through our supporting organisations, we represent thousands of ICT companies—primarily SMEs—before the European Commission.
Our Funding
Our work is backed by prominent industry bodies—including the Service Industry Association (SIA), UNEDA, The BrokerSite, and ADISA—which account for approximately 25% of our budget. The remaining 75% comes directly from individual businesses across the IT Aftermarket. In addition to our financial supporters, we collaborate closely with key industry bodies and advocacy organisations active in Brussels.
Privacy & Transparency
As a foundation, we maintain a private register of donors. We only list and acknowledge supporters online and in our publications with their explicit consent.
for Policymakers
Free ICT Europe is the sole European association representing the independent enterprise ICT aftermarket. We bring together refurbishers, independent maintainers, third-party software maintenance (TPSM) providers, ITAD companies, used software resellers, and other circular ICT stakeholders. Our mission is to ensure fair, open, and sustainable ICT markets through structured policy engagement, evidence-based advocacy, and industry collaboration. We provide European institutions with the technical expertise and market data required to align digital sovereignty objectives with circular economy legislation.
for the secondary market
Our work is vital to keeping the secondary market open and competitive. Without direct intervention in Brussels, restrictive policies from original manufacturers can legally and technically block independent repair, reuse, and maintenance. Free ICT Europe acts as your voice in the regulatory rooms. By funding our foundation, you support direct advocacy that protects your right to operate, opens up market opportunities, and ensures that circular businesses can scale without unfair barriers.
