Dan has been supportive to FreeICT for a long time and become a Board Member in 2025. He is a lawyer, specialising in highlighting the critical junctures or conflicts catalysed by the explosive growth of tech and the international high seas of cyberspace.
Dan is founder of Cabinet Shefet, is a leading international lawyer and a fierce advocate for digital rights and accountability. Best known for his landmark legal victory against Google, he set a precedent for the “right to be forgotten” in Europe, forcing tech giants to respect individual privacy online. As the founder of the Association for Accountability and Internet Democracy (AAID), he also works to introduce legal accountability in the digital space.
With decades of expertise in Intellectual Property, IT, and Competition Law, Dan advises governments and global institutions on online content regulation and digital governance, shaping the future of internet law.
